Mikotoksyny fuzaryjne jako czynnik opurtynistyczny dla kokcydioz u kur

 Kokcydie w swej większości są organizmami pasożytniczymi i wyposażone są w tzw. kompleks apikalny ułatwiający im wnikanie do komórek żywiciela a szczególnie do jelita czczego kurcząt, podczas pobierania paszy zanieczyszczonej sporulującymi oocystami. Z dotychczasowych doniesień naukowych wynika, że niektóre gatunki z rodzaju Eimeria (w zależności od stopnia inwazji pierwotniaków oraz wieku ptaków) powodują specyficzne pobudzenie układu immunologicznego. Wiadomo również, że w zaistniałej sytuacji komórki pośredniczące w odpowiedzi immunologicznej są komórkami dominującymi w jelitach zakażonych ptaków. Wiadomo również, że są to limfocyty śródnabłonkowe odpowiedzialne za kontrolowanie infekcji pierwotnej przy udziale subpopulacji limfocytów CD4+ i makrofagów oraz subpopulacji limfocytów CD8+ odgrywających ważną rolę w odporności na infekcje wtórne (Girgis i wsp., 2010).
