Atrezja pęcherzyków w jajniku ptaków

Atrezja pęcherzyków jajnikowych jest procesem fizjologicznym, zachodzącym na drodze apoptozy, niezbędnym do utrzymania prawidłowego funkcjonowania jajnika. Pęcherzyki atretyczne różnią się morfologicznie i funkcjonalnie od pęcherzyków prawidłowych. Ich aktywność steroidogenna jest znacznie obniżona.
